MTV To Carry Tomorrowland Electronic Music Festival Worldwide



Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox Hardwell and EDM are the acts confirmed to play at the festival in Belgium, held over two weekends in July.

MTV has signed on as the exclusive international distribution partner for the festival of electronic dance music Tomorrowland 2014.



Last year EDM conglomerate SFX purchased ID & T Tomorrowland matrix and launched a U.S. edition, TomorrowWorld, just outside Atlanta in September.

This will be the first time that Belgium EDM festival, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, which will be televised. MTV event images will be broadcast live from the Tomorrowland 2014 fest as part of its programming from MTV World Stage.

This year the festival has been extended to run for two consecutive weekends (18-20 July and 25-27), doubling its capacity. The 360,000 tickets available were sold out within an hour of going on sale. EDM star acts including Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Hardwell, Eric Prydz and Diplo have already confirmed for the 2014 event.

MTV said it will take two one-hour specials World Stage in Tomorrowland festival 2014 images in its network of more than 60 international channels reaching 550 million households around the world. Both will be released in August.

MTV also announced a documentary celebrating 10 years of history of Tomorrowland is in the works and is scheduled to be released in late 2014.
